Galina STOLBOVA (Russian, Glazov 1908–1996)

Galina Stolbova - sculptor, since 1949 she worked at the Leningrad Porcelain Factory. Galina Sergeevna was born in 1908 in Glazov, Vyatka province. In 1926 she graduated from Vyatka Industrial and Art Institute, and in 1937 –Leningrad I. E. Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. The teachers at Stolbovoy were the sculptors V. A. Sinaisky and A. T. Matveev. A happy Soviet childhood is the main theme for Galina Sergeyevna’s creativity.
