Mikhail Vassilievitch GUMENNYH, russian XXth century artist. He was born in 1925, in a village in Northern Kazakhstan, in the family of a village blacksmith. At an early age, the future artist was orphaned and ended up in an orphanage. Without special education, he worked as a decorative artist in the Yekaterinburg (Sverdlovsk) Drama Theater.
