The firm, one of Paris's twenty premier couture houses at the beginning of the twentieth century, exhibited at the World's Columbian Exhibition in Chicago in 1893 and the Exposition Universelle of Paris in 1900. The designer had a reputation for being heavily inspired by the House of Worth.
