Yvette BRICLOT BAUDRY (French, Le Mans 1912 - 1990 Fontenay-lès-Briis)

Yvette Hélène Aurélia BAUDRY (married to BRICLOT from 1939 to 1956) is a French designer and illustrator, for fashion, women's magazines and tabloid magazines. She signed Y. BAUDRY sometimes Y.B. then Yve or Y. BRICLOT also Y.B.B. after his divorce Y. BAUDRY sometimes Y.B. She sometimes masculinizes her name in Yve, as some women do before gender equality and the spreading of the women employment. Yvette Hélène Aurélia was born on February 20, 1912 in Le Mans. His father was honorary chief at the state railways office. She studies drawing at the fine arts school where she meets her future husband. She married on July 11, 1939 in the 17th arrondissement of Paris, Serge Christien Henri BRICLOT (1915-2013) from whom she was divorced on March 13, 1956. Between the end of the 1940s and the 1960s, she worked with the French magazines Eve, Paris Flirt, France Dimanche or Intimité, notably illustrating serial novels. She died on November 17, 1990 in Fontenay-lès-Briis, in the department of Essonne.
