House of Premet (French, 1911 - 1939)
Important Parisian fashion house which had its heyday, under the direction of Madame Charlotte, with the invention of "garçonne" fashion. Its director, Madame Charlotte, was one of the first "boyish girls" also called "garçonnes" of the time, going so far as to have her hair dyed purple.
Madame Grès made her debut there.
The PREMET fashion house was headquartered from 1911 to 1929 at 8 place Vendôme, in Paris, then from 1929 to 1939 at 126 rue de La Boétie.
