French painter, born around 1742 in a noble family, and died 6 January, 1807 in Rennes. Specialized in miniature portraits, active in La Rochelle from 1768 to 1784, where he married Victoire Charlotte CHARAULT on April 15, 1776. After moving to Rennes around 1789, he signs, in association with Christian-Louis-Marie COLIN de la BIOCHAYE, the inventory of the collections of Christophe-Paul de ROBIEN, known as President de Robien, collections which will form the initial nucleus of the Rennes museum. In Rennes, he married to Perrine Francoise Claundine BOUVARD on August 30, 1791.
