Firmin Pierre LASSERRE (French, Barraute-Camu 1870 - 1943)

Firmin-Pierre LASSERRE, was a French sculptor, medal engraver, born in Barraute on July 6, 1870, died in 1943. He was a pupil of Aimé MILLET (1819 - 1891) and Albert BREAUTE (1853 - 1939). He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français and obtained bronze medals in 1921, silver in 1923 and gold in 1927. He was made a Knight of the Legion of Honor.
