Emile MONIER (French, 1883 - 1970)
Émile Adolphe MONIER, known as Émile MONIER is a French sculptor, emblematic of the Art Deco period. He produced multiple portraits of the different ethnicities of the former French colonial empire. We know of him bronze medals stamped with profiles of Bornou, Peuhl, Senoufo, or Tuareg men and women created in particular for the Colonial Exhibition of 1931.
