Pierre CARDIN is a designer famous for his avant-garde style and his Space Age designs. He moslty use geometric shapes and motifs. The House of Cardin was founded in 1950. He began his carreer with the costumes for "the party of the century", a masquerade ball at Palazzo Labia in Venice on 3 September 1951. Pierre CARDIN used his name as a brand, initially a prestigious fashion brand, then in the 1960s expanded successfully into perfumes and cosmetics.
