House of Hermès (French, founded 1837)

French luxury design house established in 1837 as a harness workshop in Paris, serving noblemen. It is selling a whole range of furnitures such as leather goods, lifestyle accessories, home furnishings, scarfs jewelry, watches and ready-to-wear. Hermès is globally known for its iconic Birkin bag, Kelly bag, and the silk scarves produced since the 1930s. It is still a family-owned business.
