House of Sidonie Larizzi (French, founded 1960s)
When 18-year-old Sidonie LARIZZI arrived in Paris in the 1960s, she discovered a particular passion for shoes. The young Algerian from Oran then opened her first shop, and her artistic genius was quickly noticed. After bewitching Paris, the house is exported to New York via Tokyo then London and Beirut. Its growing notoriety opens the doors of the big fashion houses. After closing its shops in 2001 for lack of time, Sidonie LARIZZI reopens a new establishment in 2010 at 15 rue Clément Marot.
