Gabriel NICOLET (Swiss, 1856 - 1921)

Gabriel Emile Edouard NICOLET, a painter from Switzerland, received an artistic education in Liege, Dusseldorf and Paris academies. His work is based on depicting portraits, interior scenes and landscapes focused on bourgeois society. He worked in illustrations for magazines in London, he exposed in New York and received prices for his work such as the Belgian government medal or the silver medal of the Universal Exhibition of Paris.
