House of Destabeau (French, 1927 - 2000s)

House of Destabeau is a French jewellery house, founded by Léon DESTABEAU (April 7, 1901 - February 6, 1962) in 1927, as a workshop in the Marais where he gradually specialized in making solitaires. It was at the age of 14 that Léon DESTABEAU first began his apprenticeship in jewelry. The workshop further moved to 11 Rue de Châteaudun in 9th district of Paris. His son Robert, trained at the School of Jewelery rue du Louvre, takes over the family business. Today Eric Destabeau continues the common work of his grandfather and his father.
