The company was established in 1909 under the name "Kronenmark" (crown's brand) in Germany. In 1911, the compagny become the official producer of the Kaiser Wihlem II. The First and Second World Wars marked a difficult period for the brand. In tribute to Edward Windosr, a 20th-century nobleman, they created the brand name "Edsor". The logo consists of the brand name in italics: "Edsor Kronen", surrounded by the letters: "FMT", surmounted by a crown. Today, it's Jan-Henrik M. Scheper-Stuke has taken over as head of the company.
