Claude SAINT-CYR (French, 1911 - 2002)

Claude SAINT-CYR, under her real name, Simone NAUDET, is born on the 7th of April 1911 in Paris. She's a famous French milliner. In her youth, she worked for her aunt in Paris as an apprentice milliner. In 1937, she opened her own salon on rue du Faubourg-Saint-Honoré, and her hats were characterized by rigorous elegance. In 1953, she presented her first collection in England, which was a real success. She works for numerous French and international celebrities, including the Duchess of Windsor and the princess Margaret. She died in Griselles, a commune in the Loiret region, on September 3, 2002.
