GL Bijoux (French, founded 1917)

GL Bijoux was founded in 1917 by Georges LEGROS. He settled a factory in the Ardèche valley and GL Bijoux soon became a major jewel brand in France, producing especially for department stores as Galeries Lafayette. In 1998, GL Bijoux took control of Altesse bijoux, also founded in Ardèche by Georges Legros's brother. Joining forces, the two brands became the GL Group. GL Group is also an important subcontrator for Inès de la Fressange, Kenzo or Lacoste, producing the jewels designed by these brands. GL also remains an important jeweller thanks to its range "Les Georgettes" launched in 2015.
