J. Tiktiner (French, 1948-2002)
					
					J. Tiktiner was a family-owned and run fashion business based in the French Riviera. The company was founded by Dina TIKTINER VITERBO (1918-2001) in Nice in 1948-49 and ran with her husband Henri VITERBO (1920-2008) and their three daughters – Miquette, Vivian and Daisy. Dina and Vivian were designers of the brand, Henri VITERBO as President of the Fédération Française du Vêtement (French Clothing Federation),  promoted French fashion abroad and took responsibility for Tiktiner's business. Daisy was a technician and Miquette as attorney managed the American interests of the company and was married Mort Schrader, son of the American ready-to-wear fashion manufacturer Abe Schrader. In 1984, Miquette became the president of Tiktiner. J. Tiktiner was famous for it's vibrant colours and prints intended to echo the themes of the Côte d'Azur, in 1972 it was regarded as the "crème de la crème of cruisewear". In 1975 Tiktiner signature designs included swimwear, separates for sportswear, such as jackets and skirts, two- and three-piece coordinated ensembles, all of high quality and couture-level. These things formed what was later called "Tiktiner look".
