House of Courrèges (French, founded 1961)
House of Courrèges is a French fashion house founded in 1961 in Paris by André and Coqueline COURREGES. Emblematic of the 1960s with its miniskirts, white boots or pants, it upsets the established codes of fashion from its beginnings, and knows an important success for twenty years to be more discreet from the 1980s. Decades later, it is reborn thanks to the impetus of two entrepreneurs who bought the brand, but also the cultural heritage of it.
In 1967, was invented “Couture Future”, designed to be made for as many women as possible while keeping the “Haute Couture” quality.
