Below and handwritten on the frame "Portrait en Paganini par Ingres" (Portrait in Paganini by Ingres) could indicate that this drawing was inspired by Jean-Auguste-Dominique INGRES's drawing of the famous violinist Niccolò PAGANINI in 1819.
