Description
Fragment of a Germanic bronze curb bit, used for riding horses that uses lever action. This is one of the side pieces, with the remains of one of its chain reins still attached to it and a hook hanging for the reins. The chain consists of circular rings and flat rings with linear incisions.

It was the Thracian auxiliaries who began to use this type of curb bit, which then spread to northern Europe.
