Description
Taupe grey evening gown consisting of a simple boned bodice and a parma silk velvet skirt, embroidered in cream silk on the bottom with garlands of flowers and scalloped drapery held in place by ribbon bows. Two fringed draped panels, supposed to go to the back or the sides of the skirt (held at the shoulders on the photo), with the same 1st French Empire style decoration in silver thread embroidery, embellished with steel and glass beads, and small round steel sequins, gathered yoke at the bust. Several pieces complete the ensemble.
