Description
Posy holder consisting of a short narrow glass tube in dark amber colour, and a brass pin, attached on a metal wire around the top.

In the late 19th and early 20th centuries it was the fashion for gentlemen to wear a brooch used to hold flowers with a small transparent container filled with water to keep the flowers fresh. Such objects were called posy holder, bouquet holder, tussie mussie or using a French word "porte-bouquet".
