The front page represents a colorised photography of Mlle Marie-Louise DERVAL in the role of Blanche de Nevers from Le Bossu in Sarah BERNHARDT theatre. She was an actress known for La Dame de Monsoreau, Mariage d'amour and Sous les Phares.

The black and white insert print depicts the French opera singer Mlle Georgette LEBLANC playing the role of Charlotte CORDAY from the musical drama Charlotte Corday played in the beginning of 1901 at the Opéra-Populaire, composed by Alexandre GEORGES. Georgette LEBLANC was a singer that played in L'Attaque du moulin, Monna Vanna, Marie Magdeleine or l'Inhumaine. She was a close friend of Colette (1873-1954) and the lover of the writter Maurice MAETERLINCK (1862-1949) then of Margaret ANDERSON (1886-1973).
