Description
Black and white drawing on tracing paper representing a costume design for Tamara KARSAVINA (1885 - 1978), a Russian born ballet prima dancer. She is wearing a caucasian-style costume, specially designed for her last performance on the British television in 1937. The gown consists of a decorated headdress with pending pearls, long hair in thin braids, a slim-fitted waist dress adorned with floral patterns over large striped trousers, and ballet shoes.
