Description
Black celluloid comb imitating Japanese lacquered wood, composed by six teeth adorned a carved decoration of flowers and leaves. The flowers are painted in gold reminded Meiji-style.It is part of the Japonism style, at the end of the artistic mouvment, influenced by Giacomo Puccini's Italian opera, Madame Butterfly, performed for the first time in 1904 at La Scala in Milan.
