Description
"Souvenir" round compact decorated with a picture representing a woman in Provençal costume surrounded by flowers. The image has a brass frame, fixed in a quadrangular white celluloid base. 

Souvenir shops could sometimes offer decorated compacts for ladies. This example was probably for sale in Provence. The flowers can possibly evoke Grasse, a touristic and renowned city for perfumery.
