Description
Rectangle yellow cigarette box. The name is the cigarette is written both times, once on a ribbon and the other in a purple circle with a crown over it and the whole is surrounded by a design that resembles a sun. The Parliament of the Kingdom of Great Britain is inside the top part box which is gold inside. The bottom part where the cigarettes would be is silver. The box contains gummed rice cigarette paper from Australia and a small tube container with wick for the lighter.
Former personal belonging of Anna BAN KESZTENBAUM (1927 - 2021), Australian immigrant of Hungarian origin. Holocaust survivor, she was deported to Auschwitz but returned to live in Hungary after the war. She left the country to Canada after the Hungarian Revolution of 1956 and moved to Australia in 1963.
