Description
Large rectangular box entirely covered by a brown leather with a lid remarkably decorated with an iris decoration in the Art-Nouveau style, worked with the pyrography technique on leather and colored, the whole surrounding a golden ovale. The inside of the box is covered in plain pink silk. The box may have been used to store fashion accessories, such as gloves or haberdashery items.

This box was exhibited at the salon of the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts in 1902, accompanied by a print and a binding of "Aeschylus".
