Description
Dress "à la française" in mottled silk taffeta with pink and cream vertical striped pattern decorated with tied flower garlands. Consisting of a skirt and a coat of dress features wide Watteau pleats at the back and mid-length pagoda-shaped sleeves trimmed with scalloped falbalas.The "Engageante" lace sleeves were added later. Probably when the dress was slightly transformed for a costume ball in the 19th century.
