Description
Knitted dark green Biedermeier style purse with beaded embroidery of multi-colored glass beads forming a main motif composed in the center of a garland of stylized roses and on each side of a small floral frieze. The base of the purse is decorated with a blue star from the center of which hangs a pompom. At its top is embroidered with white pearl a name : Joseph - Fr - Pichelmayer. The bag is lined with leather and closes with a velvet cord.
This bag was probably the property of Joseph Friedrich PICHELMAÿER, who married Filipina DEGEN on February 13, 1822, in Hornbach in Bavaria.
