Description
Two pillow appliqués depicting bouquets. Both are constructed of dyed velvet with black stitched or dyed borders. The first depicts a chestnut branch during autumn, featuring green and brown chestnuts, with green, red, and orange leaves. The second depicts a red and orange bouquet of flowers featuring a  bow, gold lamé and black chain stitching.

Pillow appliqués were a popular way to add a personal touch and style to one's interior and were often accompianed with additional embroidery.
