Description
Unmounted reverse glass painting with the wishes for a New year. The inscription in French in the center says "In each of its seasons - Happiness and Satisfaction" reference to the basket of flower (on the left) of the inscription "Souvenir" for the spring, with the wheat (on the right) for the summer, the grapes (below) for autumn and the "Souhait de l'Année" banner for winter.

This type of reverse glass painting could be used as a lid for a dredged box or even for a jewellery box.
The manufacturing technique, close to the enamel, creates a confusion between that one and the other.
