Description

Boudoir doll wearing a pink silk satin dress trimmed with burgundy at the sleeves, hem, and bodice. The head features a painted face on silk chiffon over a stiff paper base, with pursed lips, thin eyebrows, and applied blush. The hair is composed of gold mohair string, and the doll wears a wide-brimmed straw hat with a large burgundy satin bow. The hands and legs are made of composition (gypsum, wood flour, and glue) with gesso, painted with pink fingernails and gold heels. She wears a white mesh underskirt over pink cotton bloomers trimmed with white embroidered ribbon. The body is stuffed with wood wool.
