Description
A violet tweed with red and yellow threads jacket with black velvet stand-up collar and lapels, shoulder pads, fastened with single large Murano glass imitating black button, with similar ones on the sleeve vents, has two rounded patch pockets at the bottom of the foreparts; lined with violet viscose silk satin.

Yves SAINT LAURENT featured deep purple felted wool with braided trims and velvet details in 1976 "Russian collection" and explored similar Russian-inspired and "Peasant-luxe" aesthetics using rich purples and velvet accents throughout the mid-to-late 1970s.
