Description
Decorative collar densely embroidered with cream and ivory-toned pearl beads. The piece has a rounded, horseshoe-shaped form, widening toward the two front ends and narrowing slightly at the centre back. Small metal hooks are visible at the extremities, suggesting that the collar could be fastened or attached to a garment. The entire surface is covered with closely set rows of pearl beads, creating a regular, textured ground. Over this beaded surface runs a delicate floral ornament composed of curved, silver-toned stems and stylized flowers. The stems are formed from small metallic beads arranged in sinuous lines, while the flowers combine elongated pearl beads with silver rectangular or faceted elements, forming petal-like motifs. On the reverse, the collar is lined with white satin polyester.
