Description
Pair of richly decorated shoe buckles presented in their fitted case. Each buckle is constructed on a metal base with a squared central opening, designed to receive the fastening strap of the shoe. The inner contour is bordered by a narrow band of blue enamel, which forms a vivid frame around the central aperture. Around this enamelled border are arranged larger oval rhinestones, set in a regular curved line and following the rounded rectangular shape of the buckle. The outer edge is further embellished with a second row of smaller square or faceted rhinestones, creating a dense sparkling border. The contrast between the blue enamel and the clear stones gives the buckles a highly decorative effect.
The pair is preserved in a matching shaped box, lined with pale satin.
