Description

Two sheets bearing double-sided fashion sketches executed in black ink. Drawn on slightly translucent paper, the sketches document post-war French couture through a series of elegant coat designs characterized by structured silhouettes, broad shoulders, and defined waistlines. The figures are rendered in the elongated style typical of fashion illustration, with minimal facial features emphasizing the cut and drape of the garments. The perforated left edges indicate that the sheets were originally removed from a sketchbook.

The first sketch depicts a standing female figure wearing a mid-length coat with wide lapels and a pocket accented by a vertical arrow-shaped detail. The second presents a profile view of a woman dressed in a long, straight-cut coat. The third sketch shows a female figure wearing a long coat, standing with her arms crossed near her waist, while the fourth depicts a seated woman dressed in a structured mid-length coat
