Description
This postcard depicts a woman wearing a green dress with a long, narrow skirt or "hobble skirt", called thus because a strip of fabric mid-calves tightened the dress so much it was impossible for the wearer to have full use of her legs. Her collar and sleeves are made out of white lace, with frills trimmings at the edges, and to cover her arms are elbow-length black goves. Her hat is in the shape of a bicorn, adorned with a red rose and two feathers crossing on the front.
