Description
This postcard depicts a woman turning her back to the viewer.
She is wearing a dress divided in two parts by different fabrics: the top is frilled, made of a white see-through material; the main part of the dress is green. On the bodice are two buttons near her right arm, and on the skirt a rather large slit of pleated fabric, crossed over by two buttoned strips of the same green. This constructions allows the skirt to be quite puffy at the back, giving it a more rounded shape before falling straight on the ankles.
The outfit is accessorized with elbow-length black gloves, and a black umbrella to balance the large white bicorn hat, decorated by a piece of green fabric inside and two stiff brown feathers at the front. She is holding a white hatbox in her left hand.
