This engraving depicts two women wearing the same outfit, allowing it to be seen both front and back and displaying the array of colour possibilities.They are wearing an autumn walking dress with very large black velvet lapels, falling on the shoulders, wide puffy sleeves divided into two by a black band before slimming down to the wrist. The skirt is ankle-length and features a wide black strip of velvet at the hemline. Underneath it is a white shirt with a ruff collar.
The outfit is accessorized with a fur scarf and a wide-brimmed bonnet, adorned with feathers.
