Square shaped compact powder with a fitted ivory edged sifter for powder and pad. The top is depicting a romantic scene of a lady in a crinoline dress and a proposing beau holding her hand, sitting on an English garden wall. Celluloid cover has design reverse-printed on the underside and a deep blue foil under it. Compact has a glass mirror. The back consist of a metal green plastic covered slab.A crinoline lady was a popular design in the late 1930s.
