Description
Large oriental style coat in blue brocaded silk decorated with a large square collar in dark blue velvet.
This type of collar also called "Sailor collar" appears in France under the king Louis 14 in order to protect the clothing from soiling of the hair. Then, it is used in children's fashion at the end of the 19th century then in that of women at the beginning of the 20th century
