Description
Set of 4 unmounted ceramic buttons, representing turquoise colour round stylized bows or knots. Such type of buttons was usually produced for the haute-couture fashion houses of 1920S-1940s like Chanel and Schiaparelli.Elsa SCHIAPARELLI was the first to give a theme to her collections from the early 1930s. Between looks, accessories and performances by circus artists, the presentation of the "Le Cirque" (The Circus) collection marks a new turning point, being the first runway show/entertainment comparable to one of today’s fashion shows. Accessories from this collection have been created and designed by French artist and ceramist Lucien NEUQUELMAN for House of Schiaparelli.
