Description
Fan with leaf made of paper and 18 ivory sticks, originally from Louis XV era (circa 1760) with openwork and carved vegetal pattern with a man and a woman in the center. The leaf is hand painted with gouache with a scene representing a peasant woman walking with two children in a forest landscape with a lake on the background. The sides are handpainted with golden frame of scrolled motifs and stylized roses. On the back there is a handpainted landscape with a lake in the forest on a sunset sky. The handle is decorated on the bottom with a turquoise pearl from each side.Materials
