Description
Fan entirely made of painted wood, consisting of 18 sticks, openwork and carved on the top with stylized floral rosettes. In the center, there is a glued print of the Lion of Saint Mark, representing Mark the Evangelist, pictured in the form of a winged lion, an aspect of the Tetramorph, the symbol of the city of Venice and formerly of the Venetian Republic. Inscription is saying: PAX TIBI MARCE EVANGELISTA MEVS (Peace unto you, Mark, my Evangelist).
