Description
Painting portrait of a count, navy officer, represented in ceremonial uniform with rich golden shoulder pads, and large buttons decorated with anchors. The man is wearing two commemorative medals: on the left, for Dahomey Expedition (1890-1894), on the right for Madagascar Expedition (1894-1895). On the right, a coat of arms, consisting of three horisontal stripes of blue, golden and white colours with golden star in the center of the blue part, surmounted with an earl crown. The portrait is the 20th century copy of an original, more older painting.
