Description
Painting portrait of a woman known as Countess Octavia-Alessandra MOREAU de FAVERNEY (1915 - 1993), from French noble family, married to count Nikolaus PÁLFFY von ERDÖD (1911 - 1948), an Austro-Hungarian noble family of Hungarian descent. The lady is represented on blue background in a white colour shirt, wearing a half updo hairstyle and red lipstick. On the left, a coat of arms, relating two noble families, is represented: PÁLFFY von ERDÖD on the left with a deer above a wooden wheel, on blue background with green bottom; MOREAU de FAVERNEY on the right with three Moor's heads with silver and red headbands, on golden background - all surmounted with an earl crown. The Countess became widow very early, and remarried after to Marquis Carlo-Augusto de SOMERVILLE.
