Description
Long hat pin mounted on brass base and embellished with an under glass portrait of a woman in the style of Marie-Antoinette at the end of 18th century, inspired by the revival interest in Versailles, circled in mother of pearl irridescent frame.At the end of the 19th century, the Palace of Versailles made a spectacular comeback to center stage. At the same time as it once again becomes a national symbol and the scene of political events, nostalgia for its former splendor inspires literature, the arts and fashion.
