Description
Advertising design for the Maison DION-LABIT store department representing three men inside of the French and Oriental rugs / Furnishing fabrics department. One of the men (certainly the founder) is not drawn but a photographic portrait is used for his head.

In 1836, the "Magasins de Nouveautés et de confection" open on 77 Boulevardde  Blossac in Chatellerault. And Ernest GENAULT was based since 1903 at 11, Boulevard de Blossac. When the branch of Magasins de Nouveauté, named Maison Dion-Labit, opened in 1904 at 11, 13 rue Colbert, GENAULT probably deal to created the advertind design.
