Description
Large ethnic belt consisting of a band of mastic hand woven linen fabric entirely covered with three rows of domed copper buttons stamped with a chimera. The fastenings of the buttons cross the canvas, inside which winds a leather lace to hold them. A cut leather tab and an iron buckle sewn by hand in a very rustic way close the belt.
The belt is an ancient property of Paul POIRET, and was brought by him from one of his voyages.
